"TO KNOW HIM AND TO MAKE HIM KNOWN"

Hey RLI Friends....i've been thinking....many ministries use this slogan as a purpose statement for their organization: "TO KNOW HIM AND TO MAKE HIM KNOWN". Have you ever thought about the implications of this idea? First, "TO KNOW HIM"....the thought that the eternal God of this universe has invited us to know HIM personally....can you even imagine it? What an amazing thought! God wants to to know us and be known by us....how can this be? In fact, this is so important to Him that He allowed His own Son to be brutally murdered so that we could have access to such a relationship....it seems incredible, but it is true! What does this say about our personal pursuit of lesser things? If this is true, then shouldn't our personal pursuit of God through Christ be our absolutely most passionate pursuit? Can you say that this is true about you? As you look at your day today, where has your energy gone? How have you invested the direction and passion of your soul? If you attained deep, vital personal connection with Christ would you be surprised? Or....would you say "Of course, that's what i've been investing my soul in....i'm not surprised that He has met me on the path....".Let's work hard at the "TO KNOW HIM" part today, ok? Let's do whatever it takes to make this a reality....pray for me today as I pray for you...so that togwther we can begin to know Him more deeply. Then we will be able to understand more of what means to "MAKE HIM KNOWN"....mo on that later,,,,,grace, Tim

What is a Redemptive Leader?

What’s so special about a “Redemptive Leader”? A regular leader asks, “How are you doing?”…..a Redemptive leader asks, “How is your soul?. A regular leader asks, “How is the battle going?”…..a Redemptive Leader asks, “How are you surviving in the battle?”. A Redemptive Leader asks the kinds of questions that allow access to the deeper questions in life….not just “doing” questions, but also “being” questions. Such questions offer the leader the opportunity to have a redemptive impact on the people being led.

What a joy it has been for us in the last few months to be able to ask some of the “being” questions to a whole series of individuals and groups, and to see God begin to do the most wonderfully deep work in the souls of those leaders. In October we had the privilege of being in Voronezh, Russia to launch the newest training effort with a new group of Russian church planters. It was exciting to see these new students and their eagerness to get started with their training process. It was also an opportunity to get together with our graduated students and check in on how each of them is doing in the battle for the Black Soil Region of Russia.

Never forget, dear friends, that it is your prayers and financial support that allow us to engage in the battle for the souls of these pastors and their wives. Your faithfulness makes us able to continue on….asking the questions that really matter, and staying engaged until answers are found.

God bless you for your love and faithfulness,

Tim and Allison

Hey RLI Friends....here's a prayer alert for you....I will be meeting with the Buffalo Bills NFL squad at 6:30 tonight as the guest speaker for their pre-game chapel service. This will be my second time being with the Bills team. They have several very committed believers on their team as well as some good coaches. Please pray for my time with them, they have had a difficult week with their coach being fired.

Thanks so much....Tim

Hey RLI friends....what a magnificent weekend we have had! It began on Thursday as Allison and I went to Orlando for the annual Evangelical Free Church of America pastors/wives retreat. This retreat is for the pastors of this wonderful denomination who minister in the Southeastern US. I was given the privilege of being the speaker at this year's event. What a great time we had! The teaching time was fun (great people to work with), as well as the meals together, etc.

Thanks to those of you who prayed for us....lots of fruit and new contacts for the future.

We are currently in West Palm Beach, staying with our son Ben...we got to see him perform in his last theater production before he graduates in December from Palm Beach Atlantic U. A really powerful production of Shakespeare's A WINTER TALE.

By for now...first grandbaby launch countdown: 45 days
